Dear Chef Evan,
Mike Grable suggested that I contact you regarding my externship position with the Atlantic Inn. My educational background at the Culinary Institute of America, along with my experience working front of the house and back of the house at the Severn Inn in my hometown of annapolis, makes me an excellent candidate for this position.
As you will see from the enclosed resume, I have more than 3 years of experience working in a restaurant. My father was a chef and I have always had a passion for cooking food, and how this industry works. I started as a busser at my first job, before working my way up to barback. My first job in the kitchen was food running and working expo along side with the sous chef. I learned the importance of ticket timing, and timing in general. I worked as a prep cook, cold side, fry cook, then graduated to working on the line. I enjoy working as a team and being close to those around me. I have received my Serv-Safe certification and understand the risks and hazards in involved with working in the kitchen. I would not have been able to achieve all of this without my commitment to personal and professional excellence.
If you have questions, or if you want to schedule an interview, please contact me at ( 443 ) 370-2452. You may also email me at Anto.Mazz14@gmail.com. I look forward to meeting with you and your team further to discuss employment opportunities, and what I can do to help the success at The Atlantic Inn.
Sincerely,
